Ala Modalaindi going strong at Box-Office

Young Hero Nani and Nitya Menon starrer 'Ala Modalaindi' is going strong at the Box-Office with growing collections from the release date onwards. Director Nandini Reddy has registered a hit in her account with her debut film. The word of mouth publicity for this slapstick romantic comedy entertainer is strong and the unit seems to be happy with the success.
Ala Modalaindi has a potential of collecting more than Rs 10 Cr as per trade circles, which is said to be the wonderful collections for a small budget film. Ala Modalaindi is produced by K.L.Damodar Prasad under 'Sri Ranjith Movies' banner. The latest buzz is the film will be remade in Tamil version soon and a leading kollywood producer has already acquired the rights of the film for Tamil version.

Lady Boss bowls High School Director

'Ala Modalaindi' debut director Nandini Reddy is an ideal example of why she is alone rated as 'Lady Boss' in TFI. Success or failure of a film is not single handedly determined by a thumb rule based on the content or star cast. 'Ala Modalaindi' doesn’t have both of them and market intellectuals are scrutinizing on best reasons that helped the film generate such a big hit talk.

Of all the recent releases 'Golkonda High School' is also a well made film with low budget and good content but revenues are shockingly below the breakeven. The check list where Nandini Reddy scored maximum for 'Ala Modalaiani' is the timing of release. While Indraganti loosely released GHS in competition with big films of Sankranthi, Nandini Reddy took a week of time studying the busy market and then 'Ala Modalaindi' had a simple, straight and single release for that week with no competitors. Though Nandini Reddy’s expertise in direction is not down rated but she bowled the GHS team with selection of release time. Folks…winning the toss is a key to win the match.
