It is known that Rekha has opted out of Rana as she demanded for a hefty amount as her pay. Even Bollywood hot beauty Vidya Balan too is not yet confirmed for Rana. So at present there are two vacancies in Rana opposite our Superstar. 

The latest we hear among is that its hourglass beauty Ileana who is going to pair opposite Rajini. Ileana has turned popular in Tamil after grabbing an offer in director Shankar’s prestigious project 3-Idiots (Nanban). If this is going to be announced officially than its certain that Ileana gives tough competition in Kollywood too. It can be noted here that if Ileana boards Rana she is going to occupy Vidya Balan's role in the film.

As ever green beauty Rekha has opted out of the film director KS Ravikumar decided to cast actress Hema Malini in Rekha’s place.

Hot Beauty shakes Ileana!

Till today tall beauty Ileana is tagged as highest paid actress in South film circuit almost equivalent with Bollywood top brass. One source commits, this Goa dusky is charging a figure of Rs 1.5 crores per film irrespective of her flop run from last two to three years. Apparently producers are still keen on casting the hip beauty without worrying on payment issues.

On the other hand latest buzz is that fresh face of Sonakshi Sinha imported from Bollywood is shaking the columns of Ileana by demanding a fee of Rs. 2 Crores for her very first South Indian film with Kamal Hassan in the direction of Selvaraghavan. Off late many Telugu and Tamil producers are pressing the calling bell of Sonakshi and the 23 year old accepted the call of Kamal Hassan receiving half of the payment as advance token. Finally inflow of Sonakshi is inundating Ileana's iron fort.

NTR’s Shakti shot in World’s top locations!

Jr.NTR, Ileana starrer Shakti is wrapping up its post-production formalities at rapid pace. The re-recording work for the film is currently taking place at Prague in Czechoslovakia. Touted as the highest budgeted film in Telugu Cinema history, producer Ashwini Dutt informed that the movie was shot in World’s top locations and the unit is said to be taking utmost care in every aspect to bring out the best output.

Speaking to Media, Ashwini Dutt says, “Shakti is shot in world’s top locations with highest budget. The movie will be released in Telugu and Tamil versions worldwide on March 30th with highest number of prints. Shakti is all set for a release in AP, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa, North India and overseas in Telugu while Tamil Nadu and Kerala states will see the Tamil versions. We are sure that Shakti is going to create a sensation all over.”

Ileana Addicted To Alcohol??

It is a common habit to have tea or coffee in the morning as soon as we wake up but in high society, having two or three pegs before going to bed has become the common habit. Especially in the cinema industry this has become a very common fad and there is hardly any teetotaler in the circuit. As the famous saying goes “Aaru Nellu Saavaasam Chesthe Vallu Veellu Ayyaarata” (spending time with a person for six months will make you like that person). That’s why the drinking habit that heroes have got usually tends to spread to the heroines as well.

Usually heroines tend to give ‘company’ to heroes in many matters and now that includes drinking as well. What starts as a fun time company eventually turns out to be a habit and becomes an addiction in no time. It is heard that as the night falls, a minimum of 4-5 pegs is compulsory or else sleep is not coming to Ileana. This is reportedly worrying her mother Sameera as well. Buzz is that due to this daily drinking Ileana has actually put on this much weight. It is more than a year since Ileana’s ‘Saleem’ has released and her Telugu and Tamil films (one each) have also been stopped. At one point, rumors were making rounds that Ileana’s career is over.

As it is, the competition from Kajal is very strong and as if that is not enough, Ileana is facing trouble in the form of Samantha and Tamannah. They are bagging away all the crazy projects. This is reportedly leading Ileana to depression and it is heard that she has stopped doing exercises and that is leading to changes in her figure size, as per sources.

No more clues needed as 'He' implies to Rana and 'Her' implies to Ileana in the context. Though it may not be a surprise that Rana has done more than needful for Ileana fostering their relation, final result is that she is no more the tall man's girl.

It is heard that once Ileana managed to launch the outlet, she went out of reach from the coverage area of Rana. It was 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' that brought them close to each other and dismal result for Rana is neither the movie released nor Ileana fell into his net. Strong gossip in film circles is that Ileana for now is worried more about reconstructing her career with 'Shakti' because hopes of her comeback with 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' are almost crashed.

Instead of getting more into the bad books of gossip mongers by remaining close to Rana, Ileana appears to have preferred to stay close to 'Shakti' for a while. Forget about catching the Ileana personally outside, it has become a big task for Rana even to get her on mobile or SMS. Daggubati hero’s plan to find the first girl friend backfired and Ileana literally has thrown him into trash bin after using him for personal benefits.

'Shakti' music to hit the stands on Feb 27

Except for the songs, entire talkie part of Shakt i has been completed. This NTR and Ileana starrer is being made on grand scale with high budget by producer Ashwini Dutt. "We have shot the movie on some virgin locations, where no film crew shot any movie. The outcome of the film is so visually alluring and the film will be like a feast to fans," producer Ashwini Dutt said.

The film is being directed by Meher Ramesh and it is scheduled for March 30 release. Songs, composed by Manisharma, will be out on Feb 27.  

Shakti shooting completes a year

It’s been a year, NTR starrer Shakti has started its filming and the movie is yet to complete few more schedules to wrap the entire shooting part. The film has started rolling from 6^th Feb 2010 at Jaipur. The much hyped visual effects extravaganza under the direction of Meher Ramesh is slated for a release on 30^th March. The audio launch is likely to happen either on 27^th February or 2^nd March in Hyderabad or Guntur.

Being made with a budget of 45Crores, the film was earlier shot in the exotic locales of Hampi, Ladakh, London, Egypt, Jaipur, Dubai etc and currently being filmed at Hyderabad. While Ileana will be seen as NTR’s love interest in the film, Puja Bedi is playing a negative shaded character. Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood and Manjari Phadnis are playing other key roles in the film.

NTR’s fans are eagerly waiting for the release of this big budgeted film and let’s hope Shakti is worth all the wait.

Rana Going Crazy After Ileana!

Rana desperate for Ileana? The answer seems to be yes and that too from the mouth of Ileana herself. Having wrapped up her bit in ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ and proceeding to Ooty to be part of Shankar’s ‘3 Idiots’, Ileana posted like this in her twitter.

“Rana..working with you was loads of fun. Gonna miss the madness”. Saying this, she has revealed Rana has fallen for her. After getting the opportunity to pair up with Ileana in ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’, Rana has been floating in air and news was making rounds on how he spent lakhs and lakhs of rupees trying to fulfil all wishes of Ileana and impress her.

Finally, the expenditure of Rana started working. We don’t know whether she is missing Rana or the costly gifts he gave her but Ileana has openly admitted that she is missing the madness he had for her.

Mahesh Babu And Ileana coming together for FCUK?

Very often, Mahesh Babu and Ileana have been seen coming up with new trends in their outfits and this also makes them hot property for apparel brands. Now, the famous international brand FCUK has reportedly made plans to set its foot in India directly and that too in a very ambitious manner.

It is heard that they are planning to start and promote their brand strongly. For this, they are reportedly looking at Salman Khan and Kareena as brand ambassadors in Hindi areas, Suriya and Taapsee for Tamil. Now the focus is more on Andhra Pradesh and here is the grapevine.

It is heard that the FCUK folks are looking at Mahesh Babu and Ileana as the brand ambassadors. All this info has been given by a source who is into international merchandising. But then, the catch is Mahesh is already doing Provogue so it is not sure if he can do this as well. NTR’s Shakti to hit the screens from 31st March

Jr.NTR starrer Shakti is slated for a worldwide release on 31^st March. The film-makers are currently wrapping up the final schedule of the film. Shakti, which is made with a whopping budget of 45crores, is shot in highest number of places. Shakti is being directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Aswini Dutt on the banner Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Ileana is playing NTR’s love interest in the film and Pooja Bedi will be seen as Egyptian princess. Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Manjari Phadnis are playing other key roles. Being a socio-fantasy flick, Shakti is packed with loads of visual effects.

Remake of ‘3 Idiots’ under progress

Remake of ‘3 Idiots’ silently rolls on. Director Shankar has begun the film’s shooting last week in Ooty in Tamilnadu. From Saturday, shooting begins in Kodaikanal. As Surya adjusted his dates, the film silently has begun shooting. From Jan 30, Ileana will join the shoot.

Gemini Film Circuit is producing it in Telugu and Tamil with the same star cast. Shankar wanted to shoot both the versions differently with two different lead stars (Mahesh in Telugu and Vijay in Tamil) but it didn’t work out. So Surya stepped in and the star could convince Murugadoss to adjust his dates for this film. Thus the film went to the sets.

Haaris Jayaraj is providing the music, while Abburi Ravi is providing dialogue for Telugu version. Manoj Paramahamsa (of Ye Maaya Chesave fame) is the cinematographer.
