Siddharth, Dil Raju’s O My Friend on sets

Siddharth, Shruti Haasan’s tentatively titled film O My Friend has kicked-off its shoot from today. Hansika and Navdeep will also be seen in vital roles in the movie. Debutant Venu Sriram will handle the megaphone for the film and Dil Raju is producing it on Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner. Venu Sriram has earlier worked in direction department in Dil Raju’s films.

O My Friend is Siddharth’s second film with Dil Raju after the mega hit Bommarillu and also his second flick with Shruti Haasan after the recently released film Anaganaga O Dheerudu. As the title says, the movie is said to be based on the value of friendship.

Jr.NTR’s Churakatti to start rolling from April

Jr.NTR’s new film in the direction of Boyapati Srinu is all set to hit the floors in the month of April. NTR will be shooting for ten days in this schedule. Shruti Haasan is playing NTR’s love interest in the movie. Churakatti is the title under consideration for the film.

The movie is being produced by Alexander Vallabha under the banner Creative Commercial Media and Entertainment Ltd. K.S.Rama Rao is presenting the movie. MM.Keeravani is scoring the music and Sameer Reddy is cranking the camera. NTR will simultaneously shoot for Surendar Reddy’s action entertainer along with Churakatti.

Hansika joins O My Friend team

Hansika, who has been currently busy with the shooting of Kandireega has signed up a new film, but this time the actress has given her nod for the second female lead role. It is known that Siddharth and Shruti Haasan are playing the lead roles in Dil Raju’s next flick tentatively titled as O My Friend. Now, Hansika has become the part of the film to play the second fiddle to Shruti.

Apart from her Kandireega, Hansika also has a couple of films in Kollywood. O My Friend will be directed by a debutant Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju. The pre-production works for the movie have already begun and O My Friend will soon start rolling its camera.

It is known that Dil Raju has planned a film with Siddharth in the lead role with a title O My Friend. Initially, Amrita Rao has been roped in as the female lead role in the film but the lady walked away as she was not satisfied with the new cost-cutting measures and rules suggested by the Tollywood producers council.

Later, Nitya Menon has been considered for the role. However, the actress has been now replaced by Shruti Haasan. Siddharth and Shruti have already paired up for Anaganaga O Dheerudu. Though the film failed to score success at the Box-Office, the chemistry between the lead pair was appreciated. O My Friend will be directed by a debutant Venu Sriram.

Shruti Haasan finalized for NTR, Boyapati’s film

The multi-faceted beauty Shruti Haasan has signed up a new film opposite Young Tiger Jr.NTR in the direction of Boyapati Srinu. This is Shruti’s second film in Tollywood, first being Siddharth’s Anangana O Dheerudu. The film unit has held the pooja ceremony today at producer K.S.Rama Rao’s house.

The movie is being made on Creative Commercials banner and Devisri Prasad has been roped in to score the music for the film. The regular shooting of the movie will commence from May. The makers of the film are in an opinion that NTR and Shruti Haasan’s pair looks fresh and appealing. Well, let’s hope the same.

Suriya, Shruti Haasan’s film in Telugu

Suriya, Shruti Haasan’s new Tamil film 7am Arivu is being dubbed into Telugu version and will simultaneously release with the Tamil version of the film. Shruti, who is still waiting for a hit film in her career, has pinned greater hopes on the film.

Suriya will be seen in a different character as a circus gymnast who will be with a circus troupe in the movie. The film-makers say, it will be entertaining to watch Suriya in this particular role.

The movie is being directed by AR Murugadoss who earlier made Ghajini with the same star and Udhayanidhi Stalin is said to be producing with rich production values. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the film and Ravi.K.Chandran is handling the cinematography.

Latest buzz is that, Kamal Hassan's younger daughter Akshara Hassan is also foraying into Bollywood in coming days. Like her sister, Akshara is also a versatile technician-cum-artist. Akshara, who looks hot and beautiful with qualities of a better heroine is right now eyeing only on Bollywood commitments keeping the South Indian film makers in bay. Akshara may not take high time like her sister to create an impression on audience because she opened the bookings counter only in Mumbai and her focus is not on various fields like Shruti. “It’s a drawback to have father who is an actor”:Shruthi

Actress Shruti Haasan opines that it is a drawback as an actress to have a wonderful actor, Kamal Haasan as her father, since people expect her in traditional characters and mature roles.

“My father is well respected in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. So people start treating me with the same respect that they have for my father. It works against me sometimes” she says.

“Moreover, people do not like to see me as a glamorous actress. They love seeing me carry the legacy of my father and act in only mature roles” she further adds!

Talking about her professional career, Shruti says that current films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi has completed their shooting part and will hit the big screens with a gap of few weeks between each film.

We all knew that Shruti Hassan had sung a song in Malika Sherawat up coming flick ‘Hiss’. Malika shared her feelings about the song and said, Shruti has taken song to the next level, and she not only sung the song which is composed by rock guru David Kushner, but also penned the lyrics for the song. She added “However, the film hasn’t been titled yet. A search is on for an appropriate name. All that I can say is it is a stunning script pasteurized in an excellent way.”
