Bala Krishna rejected a cameo role in Dhookudu!

It is known that Bala Krishna has been doing a cameo role in Manchu Manoj, Shriya Saran’s film under the direction of Ani. Now, Bala Krishna was approached for yet another cameo role in Mahesh Babu’s undershoot film Dhookudu but the Yuvaratna is said to have rejected Srinu Vytla’s offer stating he has no interest in doing guest roles.

Dookudu is currently progressing at Mumbai where the introduction song of Mahesh Babu is being canned. Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara are jointly producing the movie under the banner 14 Reels Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Thaman is composing the music for the film.

Mahesh’s is the Brand Ambassador for Idea

The king of commercial ads Prince Mahesh Babu has bagged one more ad commercial to his credit. He is making his screen presence more on small screen rather on big screens these days with his ad commercials.

He is being offered more and more of ads by the companies as he earned lots of craze among the youth and especially among the girls. The latest ad that Mahesh will be endorsing is for the mobile service provider Idea owned by Aditya Birla group of companies. He is now the brand ambassador of Andhra Pradesh for Idea-An idea can change your life!

Until last year its Siddharth who is the face of Idea but as his one year contact got dissolved in March 2010. Now Idea officials got an idea of bringing Prince Mahesh as the poster boy starting from the financial year April, 2011.

Mahesh will be launching the 3G services into the market and the company’s idea will surely bring some change in business with Mahesh effect.

Mahesh Dookudu Progressing Briskly at RFC

Mahesh Babu’s undershoot film Dookudu is progressing its shoot at rapid pace in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Few action scenes are being canned in the schedule which will continue to Old City in a couple of days. Followed by this schedule, the unit will move to Mumbai for canning a song in the film.

Samantha is starring opposite Mahesh in the film and Happy Days fame Sonia is playing an important role. Dookudu is being directed by Srinu vaitla and produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara on the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Thaman is scoring music for this mass entertainer.

Anushka with Mahesh Babu in Mani Ratnam's new film!

Anushka, currently south India's number one heroine, has signed up to play the all-important female lead in the mani ratnam's next film.

A source close to Anushka confirmed the news and said, "Yes, Sweety (as she is known) has signed Mani sir's epic classic and is thrilled to do it. She has allotted bulk dates for the project. She has to complete two Telugu projects in the next four to five months, and then join Ponniyin Selvan, where she will sport an all-new look."

Initially, there was talk that Vikram, Vijay and Suriya would do the project, but that fell through. A source close to the development said, "Even Mani sir found it difficult to bring them together for a joint narration to hear the script, leave alone doing a full-fledged film! As of now, Vijay, Arya and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu have agreed to do the film." The grapevine has it that while Vijay will play the courageous warrior Vallavarayan Vandiyatheyan, Mahesh Babu is likely to play King Aditha Karikalan. The role of Arulmozhi Varman (who later becomes Raja Raja Chozha), which was initially slated to be done by Vikram, will now be played by Arya.

Shruti Haasan has been finalized as the female lead in the film and the movie is touted as an action entertainer with a tag line Guns Don’t Need Agreement. The Tamil and Telugu remakes of Hindi hit film '3 Idiots' is going through many twists and turns. Director Shankar sweated a lot in fixing the three lead artists with popular names but everyone including Mahesh Babu, Vijay, Siddharth, Simbu, Madhavan walked away claiming the unsatisfactory reasons.

Shankar can never accept the defeat easily roped in the second grade names of Jiiva and Srikanth along with Tamil hero Surya with shooting started in Ooty few days ago. The unintentional Surya suddenly walked out of the venture on remuneration issues which made Vijay to analyze the importance of being in the hands of Shankar. Now, Vijay replaced Surya and he is to join the team from 7th. The hot and happening actress of Tollywood, Shruti Haasan will soon be pairing opposite prince Mahesh Babu in his next flick The Business Man, with the tagline Guns Don’t Need Agreement. Shruti, who recently debuted in Tollywood with Anaganga O Dheerudu earned her enough fans across A.P, for her looks and performance.

Mahesh starrer Dookudu under the direction of Srinu Vaitla has completed its current schedule at Hyderabad. The next schedule of the film will commence from 1^st February at Gujarat. Earlier Dookudu has completed its schedules at Hyderabad, Turkey and Malaysia.

Dookudu shoot kick-starts today!

After a brief gap, Mahesh starrer Dookudu has kick-started its shoot today at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Earlier the film has completed a schedule at Turkey. Samantha, the hot and happening actress of Tollywood is playing the female lead in the film.

Dookudu is being directed by Srinu Vytla and produced by Achanta Gopichand, Anil Sunkara and Achanta Ram jointly in the banner 14 Reels Entertainment. Dookudu is the second film under the banner 14 Reels Entertainment, first being Namo Venkatesa, also directed by Srinu Vytla. Thaman is rendering the tunes for the film.

Mahesh Babu Exclusive Chitchat

Mahesh Babu is back from shooting Dhookudu in Istanbul in Turkey. Although the much-publicized Khaleja flopped, the super star is not in mood to bogged down by it. As promised to his fans before the Khaleja's release, he participated in stunts sequences conducted by Thumps up and met his fans at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. He spoke to the media.

You are doing risky stunts like Akshay Kumar does in Bollywood.

May be Akshay Kumar is the only action hero in Hindi cinema currently but every star in Telugu Cinema is by and large is an action hero. We thrive on action-oriented films, so I always do stunts that appeal to my audiences. So don't compare me with Akshay Kumar.

A lot was riding on Khaleja but the film disappointed your fans too. What do you see the reason for its dismal result.

I believe the gap that I had taken prior to Khaleja is the main reason for its failure. Expectations rose to peak as my film is hitting the screens nearly after three years. First thing, such a long gap is not right for any star to take. I did the wrong thing and it affected the film.

Tell us about the status of your current film, Dhookudu.

We have finished the first schedule of the movie in Istanbul. It is an entertaining movie and Srinu Vytla is packaging it with more action and entertainment. I am sure Dhookudu will not disappoint anyone.

You constantly aim for new looks. What is the get up in Dhookudu?

Let it be secret for a few more days. My firm belief is that unless you don't change your looks with each film, people would get boredom. So I have been trying different fashion clothes, hairstyle in each film from Pokiri. You will know my Dhookudu style very soon.

There is criticism that you speak to the media only when you have to promote a brand.

(laughs) No, that is not true. Primarily I am movie star and I always interact with the media for my movies too. Since I took long gap for Khaleja, I didn't have chance to interact with you guys and had to come for brand promotions. Anyhow, I am not complaining either. Brands are example of how popular a star is these days. So I am happy that all the big corporate companies are behind me.

Will you be doing more movies now?

Yes, you will see me in two films in 2011. That is for sure. No change in it. I have taken firm decision to do more films.

What about the remake of '3 Idiots'?

Yes, director Shankar sir approached me for the remake of ' 3 Idiots' but my dates are clashing with Dhookudu. So we are now trying to work on it. I will only talk about it after a couple of days.

Mahesh, Samantha’s ‘Dookudu’ shooting in Hyderabad!

We have earlier informed to our viewers that Mahesh Babu‘s  new film, Dookudu has completed its first schedule in Turkey. The second schedule of the film has commenced from today in Hyderabad. Samantha is playing the female lead opposite Mahesh in the film.

Successful film-maker, Srinu Vytla is directing the film and Achanta Ram, Achanta Gopinath and Anil Sunkara are producing it under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Thaman is scoring the music for the film.

The other casts include Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Shayaji Shinde, Vennela Kishore etc.

‘3 Idiots’ remake has new heroine

Shankar directed ‘3 Idiots’ is seeing lots of changes as per the story and the cast. The launch of the film is confirmed on December 5^th which is nearly and still the director is busy in changing everything.

It is heard that Shankar is making plenty of changes to the original script to give the film a fresh look. And most of the Tamil and Telugu audiences are familiar with the story .So Shankar is making crucial modifications to the original and wants to give a new movie for south Indian audiences.

And to start with new changes Shankar introduced the character of the second heroine in the film. Ileana is playing the role of Kareena Kapoor. To create much more interest Shankar generated a new role of second heroine. Need to see who will be the second female lead Right now Shankar’s team is busy with screens tests.

As of now titles are also unsure and in Telugu ‘3 Rascals’ and for Tamil ‘Moovar’ are in consideration.

Meher Ramesh next film with Mahesh!

Meher Ramesh who made his name in Tollywood with films like Kantri, Billa is planning a film with Prince Mahesh Babu. Meher Ramesh is currently giving shape to NTR, Vyjayanthi movies banner’s prestigious project ‘Shakti’.  It is learnt that Mahesh has given his nod to the director after listening to the script.

The film will be produced by Venkat under the banner, RR Movie Makers. The movie will hit the floors only after May,2011, since Mahesh Babu is currently busy with Srinu Vaitla’s ‘Dookudu’ and his ‘3Rascals’ under Shankar’s direction is also commencing from the coming December. Meanwhile Meher Ramesh’s Shakti is getting ready for its release in January. So, the director has enough time for completing the full-fledged script.
