Sneha Geetam Movie Wallpapers

It is known news that the Bollywood film ‘3 Idiots’ has been causing quite a mania at the box office and it is also heard that many top Tollywood heroes have been keen on remaking the film here. However, the latest news is that they have taken back this idea and here is the reason.

Apparently, the industry sources reveal that the film ‘Sneha Geetam’ which has become the talk of the season is said to have taken base with ‘3 Idiots’ and one can find almost similar flavor in this movie as well. The movie has three heroes and it also runs on a college backdrop and life after that.

The audio release happened a while ago and it has received a very good response. So if the movie also clicks then we have ourselves a new youthful entertainer. The film’s release date is expected to be announced soon so it looks like 2010 is going to bring some cheers to Tollywood.

Telugu Cinemala Pandaga This Month

Kedi Movie StillsTollywood heroes, especially bigger heroes are getting ready with their movies in the coming January.

Tollywood May Shift To Chennai - Rosaiah

Tollywood Stars

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah Wednesday said the continuing attacks on film shootings in and around Hyderabad by Telangana supporters may force the Telugu film industry to shift back to Chennai.

Assuring full protection, the chief minister urged all political parties to ensure that the industry stays in Hyderabad.

The campaign over Telangana has caused huge losses to the film industry, with thousands boycotting movies of some actors and continuing attacks on the shooting of some others opposed to Telangana’s creation.

Recalling that the Telugu film industry shifted from Chennai to Hyderabad after the formation of Andhra Pradesh in 1956, Rosaiah said if it goes back, it will affect the employment opportunities of local people.

He pointed out that 70 to 80 percent of the workers in the film industry were locals.

“The hero, heroines and some other people may be from other regions (of Andhra Pradesh) but the majority of the workers are local people,” he said in an obvious reference to claims by pro-Telangana groups that the movie industry was dominated by people from coastal Andhra.

Rosaiah also termed as baseless the allegations of pro-Telangana groups that film personalities were given prime lands free of cost in and around Hyderabad.

He pointed out that lands were given to the industry as incentives as per the market rates.

The chief minister regretted that the shootings of actors like Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR who have said nothing on Telangana were also attacked.

Last week the protestors also attacked film shootings of veteran actor-producer Mohan Babu’s son M. Manoj and actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi’s nephew Allu Arjun.

Both Mohan Babu and Chiranjeevi are opposing the bifurcation of the state.

Telugu Film Industry Bleeding Due To Separate Telangana !

The Telugu film industry (popularly called Tollywood) is bleeding due to the spat over a separate Telangana statehood.

“We are losing Rs 7 crore a day on account of postponement of releases, rescheduling of shootings and logistics,” said K C Sekhar Babu, film producer and secretary, Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce.

The industry, which churns out over 150 movies a year, lines up mega-budget movies from December to prepare for Sankranti (the festival of kites in January) to get cash registers ringing.

In the wake of pro-Telangana activists attacking theatres screening Arya-2, starring Allu Arjun, nephew of actor-turned-politician and Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi, his son Ram Charan Teja’s Magadheera and actor-turned-producer Mohan Babu’s son Vishnu’s Saleem, most of the Andhra Pradesh Producers’ Council members on Wednesday postponed their releases for this month.

“The released movies are suffering 5-10 per cent loss in gross collection, while the yet-to-be-released films will lose in interest payments to financiers,” said film producer-director Tammareddy Bharadwaja.

Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu, who have been at loggerheads for a long time, have joined the united Andhra movement, earning the wrath of the pro-Telangana activists.

“Saleem, made with a budget of Rs 23 crore and released on December 12, has seen significant drop in gross collections,” said Daggupati Suresh Babu of Suresh Movies.

Adurs, starring junior NTR, Leader with Daggupati Suresh Babu’s son Rana as the protagonist, and Nagarjuna’s Rummy are the other big films slated for release this month.

“The television industry has lost close to Rs 100 crore in the last 15-18 days. Though production has not stopped, no new projects are coming up as investors are worried,” said D Sridhar, chief executive officer of Hyderabad-based television producer TeleMedia.
