The glamorous and spicy heroine Priyamani says that she was very much thrilled when she was called by ace director Mani Ratnam to narrate the story of ‘Ravanan’ and about her character in the film.
When Mani Ratnam asked her about her Hindi speaking skills she says that her Hindi linguistic skills are quite good. Then Mani Ratnam called his assistant and asked him to converse with her in Hindi to test her speaking skills. Well satisfied with her language, he offered Priyamani a key role in Ravanan. However, Priyamani also bagged another bollywood chance soon after this in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charithra’.
